The printer is easy to use, just like any other inkjet printer, but the difference is that this printer is capable of printing onto ordinary PVC cards. There’s no need to use a specific card type – it will print onto the same PVC cards that you would use with any other plastic card printer. The ribbon cassettes used in other printers can sometimes result in wasted panels, equalling wasted prints. With inkjet technology, the ribbon cassettes are replaced by efficient ink cartridges, much like a typical office or home inkjet printer. There’s less plastic waste created by using ink cartridges over ribbon cassettes, and makes a more sustainable option for small to medium organisations that don’t print large quantities of cards.  Another benefit of ink cartridges over ribbon cassettes is that instead of data being transferred onto the used ribbon panels, ink cartridges don’t pick up any printed data and therefore eliminate a potential GDPR breach, however small it may be.
